1. Breast-feeding can be done in the hip or cradle positions with relative ease and a little practise.
It is important to carry baby, well supported, in a position and height that will not cause him to pull on your nipples. |
2.Cradle Position - Support your baby in the feeding position as you adjust the top and bottom rails and the middle section of your tail, (which will raise your baby higher) if needed. You may need to loosen the inside 'rail' of the pouch to access your breast.
The tail can be tucked up under your baby's head for extra support. |
3.Hip position – Lower or raise your baby so that he can comfortably latch on to your breast. Adjust the sling around him as you support him in this position. |
4. If you need to change breasts and your baby's head is near the rings, loosen the rings just enough to swing your baby and sling over to the other breast. |
5.The Tail can also be used to provide privacy or remove visual distractions from a feeding baby. |
