    Erica's Seed Bars for breastfeeding

    Seed crackers

    Makes two large trays- approximately 50 x cm square crackers

    Ingredients

    3 cups rolled oats

    1 cup brown flaxseed

    1 cup organic sunflower seeds

    1 cup organic pumpkin seeds (pepitas)

    1/2 cup black or white chia seeds

    2 tbsp brewers yeast (found in a health food store or online)

    2 tbsp organic coconut sugar, maple syrup or melted honey/rice malt

    2 tsp fennel seeds

    2 tsp cumin seeds

    Generous pinch of quality salt

    2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

    2 cups of water

    Method

    1. Thoroughly combine all ingredients together in a large mixing bowl. Cover, and allow to sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
    2. Tip half the mixture out onto a lined baking sheet. With a strong, straight edged glass roll the mixture out to 3mm thick between another piece of baking paper.

    The Ultimate Green Smoothie for New Mothers

    Ingredients

    1/2 - 3/4 cup of soft seasonal fruit

    1 large handful of chemical free baby spinach

    1 handful of parsley, stalks removed

    300ml of water, coconut water, nut, grain or dairy milk

    1 pinch of quality salt

    4-6 walnut halves

    1/4 avocado (optional)

    1 serve of green superfood powder (optional)

    1 cm grated fresh turmeric (optional)

    1 tbsp black or white chia seeds

    Method

    1. Blend all ingredients except for the chia in a blender until smooth.
    2. Stir in the chia and serve in a tall glass.

    Ingredients 

    1/2 bunch sliverbeet, sliced;

    2 small red capsicums/red peppers, chopped into 1 inch pieces;

    1 medium head broccoli,chopped into 1 inch florets;

    10 pastured eggs (eggs made by chooks who free range on pasture = Omega 3);

    75g organic feta (optional);

    Salt and pepper to season;

    method

    Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees Celsius;

    Saute vegetables in an oven proof frying pan until just soft;

    Transfer the sauteed vegetables into a lined pie dish;

    Crumble over feta;

    In separate bowl whisk together the eggs, and season with salt and pepper;

    Pour the egg mixture over the vegetables. Give the dish a bang on the counter to evenly distributed the egg through the vegetables;
